Guide To Genjutsu

Genjutsu are yin style techniques that are employed in the same fashion as ninjutsu, requiring chakra and hand seals. However, the primary difference between the two is that the effects of genjutsu are illusory; instead of attacking the victim's body, like taijutsu or ninjutsu, genjutsu techniques manipulate the flow of chakra in the victim's brain, thus causing a disruption in their senses. When this happens the ninja becomes vulnerable to a mental suggestion. Genjutsu users are skilled in transferring a thought using chakra and imagination within the time limit. This is often used to create false images or to cause pain from trauma (because the body is led to believe it is in pain); however, there are plenty of other uses depending on the situation. Some even have the opposite effects to normal genjutsu, by changing reality to illusion and vice versa.

Sight Disruption

Sight disruption genjutsu are techniques that enter the body through the eyes. This is usually acomplished by placing chakra in something your sure your enemy will look at. This technique has been credited as being the weapon of choice amongst the genjutsu users of the uchiha clan. They have taken some of these techniques and even improved on them. Making them stronger and even more feared in the ninja world. The only known weakness of this technique seems to be its ability to be over powered by sound genjutsu which is said to be the best.
